Pests we treat
Most of Thessaloniki is apartment blocks built between the 1960s and the 1980s, with shared drains, light wells and basements that connect to each other. Halkidiki has villas and rooms that stay closed all winter. Both give pests what they need: moisture, food and a way in.
- German cockroach: the small, light-brown cockroach of kitchens and old apartment blocks, active all year round
- Oriental and American cockroaches: the large cockroaches that come up from drains and manholes, especially in summer and after heavy rain
- Mice and rats: gnawed packaging and cables, droppings, scratching noises in ceilings and storerooms
- Bed bugs: bites in a line after sleeping, small dark spots on the mattress; they travel in luggage
- Ants: steady trails heading the same way, day after day
- Wasps: nests under awnings, pergolas and roof tiles, right above outdoor tables
- Mosquitoes, including the tiger mosquito: they breed in standing water in pots, gutters and pools
- Fleas: bites on the ankles, often after a pet or a long empty period
- Flies: a hygiene problem, above all in kitchens and food businesses
- Clothes and pantry moths, silverfish and stored-product pests
Pest control for homes
At home we use targeted methods in places you do not touch, instead of spraying surfaces in general. Before we leave, we give you in writing the time before people and pets can go back in and what should be washed or aired.
In an apartment block, if the source is in shared drains or the basement, we recommend that the building manager arranges a coordinated treatment. It costs less per apartment and works far better than treating one flat at a time while the source stays untouched.
Pest control for businesses
For restaurants, cafés, bakeries, hotels, food stores and warehouses, pest control is also a compliance matter. An inspector does not ask whether you have seen a cockroach. They ask for the file: the treatment programme, a floor plan of the monitoring points, the product approvals and data sheets, and the signature of the responsible scientist.
We work on Integrated Pest Management principles: monitoring with traps, recording findings and treating where there is a documented need. Visits are scheduled after closing time or before opening, so you do not lose working hours.
How a visit works
In an apartment, a treatment usually takes 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the size and the pest.
- Inspection and identification: we find the species, the sources, the entry points and the conditions that keep them going
- Targeted treatment: gel in cracks, targeted spraying of perimeter points and hiding places, closed bait stations for rodents; all products approved by the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food
- Proofing and prevention: we point out the entry points to seal and give you written instructions on what to change
- Follow-up and documentation: we come back to check the result and you receive a written record with the products, the treated points and the agronomist's signature
Prices
Homes from €30 (apartment up to 50 m²). Businesses from €40 per visit. The final price is given after a free inspection, because it depends on the layout, the pest and how established the problem is. Prices for individuals include VAT.
For urgent cases in Thessaloniki we arrive in less than 5 hours.
What you can do before we arrive
- Do not spray shop-bought insecticide in the days before our visit. It scatters the pests and keeps them away from the points where we will apply gel.
- Do not clean away droppings or other traces where you saw pests. They show us where to look.
- Write down where and when you see activity.
- With bed bugs, do not change bedrooms or move mattresses and clothes to another room. That is how one infested room becomes a whole-house problem.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to empty my home?
No. We ask you to move food and dishes away from the points we treat. People and pets stay out for the time we give you in writing, which depends on the product used.
I only see cockroaches in the kitchen. Is treating the kitchen enough?
Rarely. The kitchen is where they feed, not always where they nest. We always check the bathroom, drains, cupboards and shared areas too.
Do I need to close my business?
In most cases, no. We schedule the treatment after closing time or before opening, so the ventilation time is respected without losing working hours.
What document do I receive?
A written treatment record with the products and their approval numbers, the treated points, the date and the signature of the agronomist. Businesses can add it to their EFET file.
Do you also deal with mice and rats?
Yes. We use closed bait stations in storerooms, boiler rooms, stairwells and around the perimeter. When there is a basement or a storeroom, we usually suggest a combined pest and rodent programme.
